Biography - Sam Jensen
Born in 1984, I've been composing music since I was 5 years old, using whatever instruments I could find or create from used household items. Today I have a range of musical instruments with professional recording equipment and I'm greatly familiar with all the music software I use to compose soundtracks; which are mastered to perfect quality.

Back in school, I soon became known as the guy that rigged the sound equipment for the school concerts, and eventually I remixed the sacred school song to a techno beat and sang it to the entire school on the last day.

I also wrote, directed and arranged a full-scale musical in 2004 with 18 performers which went on to be successfully staged, known as "Tangled Minds". A tale about teenagers growing up in challenging circumstances. At college in 2007, I became known as the man who started the annual Northlink Talent Show, which continues today and has become a bit of a tradition.

At college, I studied Electrical Engineering in order to pursue the initial career of an electrician to fund my music dreams.

Fortunately, the ever-increasing demand for my music has put the electrical work as a more part time service on a smaller scale.

I'm familiar with all 32 instruments of the orchestra and can write parts for most of them. As a hobby I volunteer at 3 major film schools in Cape Town where I compose free scores for the work of talented young film-makers who I feel have potential.

In 2008, I took a poem written by a relative "The Dolphin Song" and composed music parts to it, and it was performed live by a string trio at the Two Oceans Aquarium at the V&A Waterfront.

After having the privilege of working for a German employer, I've developed a rather Black & White approach to getting the job done, and of course, keeping deadlines.

I love life, I love what I do, and I love the satisfaction of composing a special piece of music to a special concept, burning it a new place in the history of art.
